Mt. Lebanon to Dedicate Football Field in Honor of Art Walker Sr.
Mt. Lebanon High School will dedicate its football field in honor of longtime football coach and teacher Art Walker Sr. on Friday, Oct. 23, before the Blue Devils host North Allegheny.
Walker coached Mt. Lebanon from 1967 to 1987, leading the Blue Devils to five WPIAL championships. He also taught U.S. history for nearly three decades, making a lasting impression on generations of students both on and off the field.
The dedication carries special significance because North Allegheny is coached by Walker’s son, Art Walker Jr., who once served as his father’s ball boy on the Mt. Lebanon sideline.
The ceremony will recognize Walker’s legacy as an educator, coach and influential figure in the school’s athletic history.
